Linda Gail Kundolf, nee King, 81, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Sebring Florida.
She was the daughter of the late John Wilburn and Rachel Rilly King, nee Childers.
She was the devoted wife of William John Kundolf Jr. who preceded her in death in 2020.
They met and were married in Greenville while he was stationed at Donaldson Center. After their marriage they returned to his hometown of Wallingford, Connecticut where they raised their family. While in Connecticut Linda was very involved in the First United Methodist Church and the Wallingford Junior Women's Club. Upon Bills retirement from the Connecticut State Police, they returned to South Carolina. That was the deal. The women's club created the Linda Kundolf Friendship Award in her honor.
Linda was always busy with her hands. Sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, scrapbooking, card making; she was always on the lookout for her next craft project. She quickly made friends with everyone she met, many of these friendships lasting a lifetime. While back in South Carolina she became a part of the Red Hat Society and retired as a Queen when she and Bill moved to Florida.
She was the mother of William John Kundolf, III (wife, Rayla), Patricia Gail Kundolf, of Sebring, FL, and Christopher John Kundolf (wife, Debra) of Westminster, SC. She was the grandmother of Joshua Robert Smith Kundolf who preceded her in death and Carson John Kundolf (mother, Teresa Kundolf). Step-Grandchildren, Amanda Murphy, Blake (Taylor) Godley, Brittany (Dillan) Gault, and step-great grandchildren, Colby Price, Landon, Skyler, and River Godley, Ivy, and Dakota Rose Gault.
She leaves behind her sister Sandra Gunter. She was preceded in death by her brother Jackie King and her sister Nancy Landreth.
