In 2018, Adam was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives as one of the youngest members of the Legislature. He has used his business acumen, along with his knowledge of the intricacies of the law, to bring conservative change to Columbia.

In 2021, Adam, and fellow conservative South Carolina House Representatives members, founded the South Carolina Freedom Caucus, which fights for conservative values in legislation. Adam is a conservative champion and is recognized across the nation with awards like the Taxpayer Hero Award from Club for Growth and the Conservative Achievement Award and the Conservative Excellence Award from the American Conservative Union/Conservative Political Action Conference.

Adam and his wife, Megan, live in Taylors with their three young children. Outside of politics, Adam serves as a deacon at Morningside Baptist Church and on the board of directors of Open Door Baptist Missions.
