Clemson baseball's road to the College World Series will kick off in Clemson, with the Tigers being selected as the No. 6 seed in Monday's NCAA Tournament selection show.

The Tigers (41-14) learned their bracket and pairings Monday, including their national seed. They will host an NCAA Tournament regional at Doug Kingsmore Stadium and can host the super regional if they advance to that stage.

Clemson will open with High Point (34-25) on Friday (7 p.m., ACC Network). Vanderbilt (38-21) and Coastal Carolina (34-23) are matched in the other half of the bracket on Friday (noon, ESPN2).

Regionals play will take place from May 31 to June 3. The super regionals will run from June 7-10 and the College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park will start on June 14 in Omaha, Nebraska, and run to the championship series on June 22-24.

Clemson finished second in ACC play in the regular season but failed to advance to the ACC Tournament semifinals after splitting the two games between Miami and Louisville in Pool B play.

This will be Clemson's 46th NCAA Tournament appearance, the fifth-most in college baseball. The Tigers are searching for their 13th College World Series appearance.

Last season, the Tigers were named the No. 4 national seed but failed to advance to the super regionals. They lost to Tennessee, 6-5, and fell 3-2 to Charlotte in an elimination game.
