Park Hop is now open – Park Hop is a free, summer long scavenger hunt at park and recreation venues throughout Greenville and Spartanburg Counties. This scavenger hunt encourages children and families to discover featured parks throughout the summer while searching for answers to clues within each park. The Greenville Downtown Airport’s (GMU) 11th Annual Take Flight 5K and 1-mile race is 7:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. May 25 in front of Runway Park. This unique event is a fundraiser for Runway Park and GMU’s Community Corridor, with 100 percent of the donations going back to the community. Fun is mandatory, costumes and teams are encouraged. Curious George: Let’s Get Curious! opens May 25 at the Upcountry History Museum. The exhibition is a hands-on, bilingual (English and Spanish), interactive learning experience, developed for children ages 2 – 8 and their caregivers. It continues through Oct. 6.
