If a marriage is to be based on compromise, and one spouse prefers traditional design while the other favors a more modern look, which style should define the family home? For her newlywed clients, designer Asia Clark pulled off a perfect combination of both,  including special touches for the couple's much beloved pets and future children.

A Greenville native, Asia has recently returned to her hometown after a few years in New York, following her graduation from her studies at Fashion Institute of Technology. Asia's philosophy is an advanced approach to conceptual design that incorporates the “6 senses of design: Sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing and movement.

3 tips to recreate this look:

  • 1. Elevate your space affordably: Instead of investing heavily in a large rug, opt for two strategically placed faux hides. This creative arrangement adds a luxurious touch to the room without exceeding your budget, showcasing an innovative and stylish approach to interior design.
  • 2. Illuminate with intent: Lighting is a pivotal aspect of good design, influencing atmosphere and functionality. Enhance the space economically by adding sconces and adjusting light bulbs for different ambiances. Warm whites for living areas, neutral whites for kitchens and natural whites for workspaces create a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and functional environment.
  • 3. Timeless investments for enduring elegance: When budgeting, prioritize classic pieces like the dining room table, backsplash, and window treatments. These essentials add sophistication and ensure long-lasting style and value for your home.
