Coach Erik Bakich leads Clemson baseball to first ACC Atlantic Division title since 2018
CLEMSON — With its 11-6 win on Friday vs. Boston College, Clemson baseball won the ACC's Atlantic Division for the first time since 2018.
The No. 7 Tigers (39-13, 19-10) clinched the division with another comeback victory, thanks to a three-run third inning and a five-run fifth inning. They have won eight of 10 conference series this season and are on track to host an NCAA regional for the second straight year.
"Hopefully first of many championships for Team 127," Clemson coach Erik Bakich said. "They deserve this. They've earned this."
This is Bakich's second season with the Tigers. Last year, they won the ACC tournament for the first time since 2016 and reached the NCAA regionals as a No. 4 overall seed.
Clemson concludes its regular season at noon ET Sunday against Boston College at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
